Policy for Lateness and Missed Appointments

As part of our aim to reduce patient waiting time we operate a lateness policy.

To ensure that all clinics run on time please arrive at your allocated appointment time. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment we will ask you to re-book.

Please let us know as early as possible if you cannot keep an appointment so that it can be offered to someone else who needs it.

We will send you a confirmation and a reminder text for all appointments  at the Health Centre (excluding telephone appointments). You can cancel your appointment via SMS, Systmonline or by telephoning reception.

What Happens If I Am Late For My Appointment?

The Health Centre operates a ‘Failed to attend’ policy for all patients that miss their appointments. If a patient fails to attend two appointments a warning letter will be sent to the patient. If a patient misses more than three appointments within one year they will be removed from our practice list for one academic year after which they can re-register if they wish.
