Travel Clinic

The Health Centre offers a  travel clinic and yellow fever centre for patients registered to the health centre.
If possible try to book your Travel Health Risk Assessment appointment with the nurse 6 - 8 weeks before you go. If you are late in coming in, book an appointment anyway. Certain vaccinations need to be given over several weeks so it is better to come in as soon as possible, especially at busy times of the year for Travel Health appointments.

You MUST complete the Pre-Travel Questionnaire and email it to us at prior to booking your appointment.

Before you arrive for your travel health clinic appointment the nurse will expected you to have read any advice on where you are travelling to prior to your appointment.

If you are uncertain whether you need to have a course of vaccinations or would like advice please view the following website: Fit for Travel.

Ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance for your destination AS SOON AS you have booked your flights. Make sure you have an up to date European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) if travelling within the EU.

Be aware that there are some unofficial websites that try to charge people for this service, but you can get your card for free via the official EHIC website

Cost of Travel

Many travel vaccinations are not covered by The National Health Service (NHS) but you may have to pay for some. You can discuss this with the nurse at the time of your appointment.

Please remember to bring either cash or credit/debit card to your appointment. For your information and convenience you can view the price list here

From time to time there are national shortages in supply of vaccines. If the Health Centre vaccine stocks run low you may like to approach the following alternative Travel Health Services providers. Please note this list is not exhaustive nor are we recommending any particular service.

Private Travel Clinic

We now offer this service to patients who are not registered to our surgery. Click here to complete form. If you are requiring an appointment and you have less than 6-8 weeks prior to travelling please contact our reception team to check on appointment availability prior to completing the form. You can call them on 02078482613.
